About Digitalogicx
We built the agency we kept wishing we could hire
Digitalogicx is a small, deliberately unglamorous team in River North. We manage paid search and build websites for companies who are tired of dashboards that look great and pipelines that don’t move.
Why we started
Everyone here has worked somewhere that ran accounts the way you’d hope nobody does. Fifty clients to a strategist. Reports auto-generated on the first of the month and skimmed by nobody. A “quarterly strategy session” that was the same slide deck with different logos. And percentage-of-spend billing quietly doing what percentage-of-spend billing does — making the safest recommendation always “increase the budget.”
The part that finally pushed us out was watching campaigns get blamed for problems the campaigns didn’t cause. A client would be spending well, targeting well, writing good ads — and losing, because the page the ads pointed at took nine seconds on a phone and buried the phone number below three sections of stock photography. We’d flag it. The web vendor would say it was scoped for next quarter. Nothing happened. Everyone kept billing.
So Digitalogicx does both. If a landing page is the bottleneck, we fix the landing page. If the campaign structure is the bottleneck, we fix that. There’s no third party to hand a ticket to and no version of this where two vendors argue about whose fault it is while your cost per lead climbs.
We stay small on purpose. It caps how many clients we can take, which we’ve decided is a feature. Anyone here can tell you what’s happening in every account we manage without opening a document first.
How we operate
Six rules we don’t break
These aren’t values on a wall. Each one has cost us money at least once, and we’ve kept them anyway.
Never bill on a percentage of spend
Our incentive should be your cost per customer going down, not your budget going up. Flat fees are the only way we’ve found to make those the same thing.
The client owns everything
Accounts, code, domains, hosting, data. Holding assets hostage is how weak agencies keep clients. We’d rather you stay because leaving would be a downgrade, not because it would be a hassle.
Say the uncomfortable thing
If a month went badly, that’s the first line of the report, not something buried on slide nine. If your intake process is losing the leads we’re generating, we’ll say that too — even though it isn’t our scope.
No account-manager telephone game
You talk to the person in your account. It means our calls are more technical than most agencies’, and it means nobody has to check and get back to you.
Ship fast, then measure
A landing page test that takes six weeks to launch isn’t a test, it’s a project. We’d rather run four rough experiments this quarter than one beautiful one next quarter.
Turn down bad fits
If your budget is too small for management fees to make sense, or your category is one we’d be learning on your dime, we’ll say so. A client we can’t help is worse for us than no client at all.
What we commit to
Four promises, in writing, before you sign
Not aspirations. These are terms we put in the agreement, and any one of them is grounds to fire us if we break it.
How the team works
Three people on your account. No layers.
A typical mid-size agency puts an account coordinator between you and whoever does the work. We do not have one, which is why our calls are more technical than most.
IN YOUR AD ACCOUNT DAILY
Your paid search strategist
Reads your search terms report every week, owns bidding and budget, and writes the monthly summary themselves. This is the person on your calls — not someone relaying your question to a specialist you have never met.
SHIPS YOUR LANDING PAGES
Your developer
Writes the code behind your site and every test we run against it. Because they sit next to the strategist, a new headline or a shorter form goes live the same week it is proposed, not next quarter.
REACHABLE DIRECTLY
The founder
Reviews every audit before it goes out and every account once a month. You get their direct line at kickoff. Small enough that this is a real promise rather than a line on a website.
Want names and faces before you call? Ask on the contact form and we will introduce the people who would run your account.
Where we are
River North, and why that’s not just an address
Our office is at 320 W Ohio Street, Suite 3W — a few blocks west of the Merchandise Mart, walkable from the Brown Line at Chicago and Franklin. It’s a real office with real people in it, which shouldn’t be a differentiator among Chicago digital agencies and somehow is.
Being here shapes the work. We’ve run campaigns for contractors fighting national lead-gen platforms for the same North Side searches, for west suburban manufacturers where the entire addressable market is a few hundred searches a month, and for downtown firms paying serious money per click in categories where one signed client covers a quarter of spend. Those problems don’t generalize, and having watched them up close beats reading a case study about a market you’ve never worked in.
We work across Chicagoland — the Loop, West Loop, Fulton Market, Lincoln Park, Evanston, Oak Brook, Naperville, Schaumburg — and with clients in about a dozen other states who we’ve never met in person. Both work. The local ones just get better coffee out of it.
Free, no strings
Find out what your account is actually costing you
Send us your Google Ads account or your website — whichever one is leaking more money — and we’ll come back with a short, specific list: what we’d change, in what order, and what we think it’s worth. No slide deck, no discovery call required to get it.
If we look at it and think you’re already in good hands, we’ll tell you that instead. We’d rather lose a pitch than take on work we can’t move the needle on.
- A written breakdown of wasted spend, with the search terms that caused it
- Your real cost per qualified lead — not per form fill
- Which landing pages are killing your conversion rate, and why
- Core Web Vitals and mobile speed scored against your top competitors
- A prioritized fix list you can hand to anyone — including your current agency
Turnaround is usually two to three business days. We’re at 320 W Ohio St in River North if you’d rather do it in person.
